Job Overview
We are looking for a qualified Dental Nurse or an experienced Trainee Dental Nurse to join our team. This is a paid role offering a strong opportunity to develop clinical skills, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during a wide range of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times
- Preparation and turnaround of treatment rooms, including sterilisation and cross-infection control
- Accurate recording of medical histories and clinical notes
- Supporting clinicians with patient assessments and treatment planning
- Managing instruments, materials, and stock efficiently
- Providing clear oral hygiene and post-treatment advice to patients
- Maintaining compliance with HTM 01-05 and all infection control protocols
- Supporting the wider team, including reception, to ensure a smooth patient journey
Requirements
- Qualified Dental Nurse (GDC registered) or trainee with relevant experience
- Strong communication skills and a professional manner with patients
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with dental software systems (e.g. Software of Excellence/SFD/R4 preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
