Full time / 37 hrs per week – permanent contract
Salary range £41,363 - £47,513 per annum (upper levels awarded in respect of qualification, skills or exceptional previous experience)
Based Newhaven with travel to outreach & partner delivery locations across E. Sussex
You will be influential in the strategic development of the Community Advice & Wellbeing area for SCDA, having responsibility for the operational line management and direction of a multidisciplinary team of employed specialist staff and through them volunteers; designing and delivering services and activities around the Community Advice & Wellbeing agendas; and fostering and delivering partnership arrangements.
The aim of these services and activities is to deliver, promote access to and develop partnership delivery of Community Advice & Wellbeing support to people experiencing complex challenges in the community. In addition, our projects provide appropriate services to marginalised communities and those at risk of harm; in particular those from diverse ethnic communities & backgrounds including Ukrainian people, people needing support for their mental health & wellbeing, and those most in need of access to debt & money advice services and emergency/community food provision.
With responsibility for continued fundraising & bid writing in support of SCDA’s Community Advice & Wellbeing work area, and collaboration on large tenders for relevant initiatives, you will drive quality of provision, monitoring and compliance to targets, and ensure projects run to agreed budgets and schedules.
We are looking for people to join our team who have the qualities and skills we feel would most benefit our clients; professionalism, empathy, kindness and understanding of professional and personal ethics and boundaries. In return, we understand people want to work in a supportive environment with friendly colleagues. We offer a flexible, hybrid approach to delivery wherever possible, annual leave of 25 days per year pro rata plus bank holidays and sick pay from the start (increasing with service), additional sick pay for planned operations and recovery, a pension scheme, bereavement leave, and managers who are available to you… plus a day off for your birthday!
