Homely Supported Living is seeking an experienced, confident, and values-driven Senior Support Worker to lead and support staff teams within our supported living services.
This role is ideal for a senior support worker ready to take the next step or an existing team leader with strong leadership experience in supported living, learning disabilities, autism, or mental health services. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality, person-centred support while maintaining compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Duties
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of support workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
- Act as a role model for best practice, professionalism, and positive values
- Ensure support is delivered in line with support plans, risk assessments, and PBS strategies
- Conduct supervisions, spot checks, and staff performance monitoring
- Support with staff inductions, training compliance, and competency checks
- Ensure accurate daily records, MAR charts, and incident reports are completed and reviewed
- Liaise with managers, families, social workers, and other professionals
- Take responsibility for shift coordination, handovers, and rota support when required
- Promote safeguarding, health & safety, and infection prevention practices
- Support individuals to live independently and access the community safely
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience working in supported living, learning disabilities, autism, or mental health services
- Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, or equivalent is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of person-centred care, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), and safeguarding
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours that may challenge
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support staff teams

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
