Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship in both residential and commercial settings. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming before painting or decorating.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Ensure all work is completed to specified standards and within agreed timeframes.
- Assist with colour matching and selecting appropriate materials for each project.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organising tools and disposing of waste responsibly.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during the execution of decorating tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is preferred.
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between sites.
- Good command of English language, both spoken and written.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
- Organised approach to managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to painting and decorating activities.
