We are looking for reliable freelance event chefs to deliver small private events (10–20 guests).
This role focuses on operational fulfilment rather than menu design. Menus, and event formats are provided. Your role is to prepare, cook, plate, and deliver a smooth service experience.
You must also be able to bring a front-of-house assistant who can help with plating, serving, and guest interaction during the event.
This position is ideal for private chefs, catering chefs, or experienced restaurant chefs with event experience who enjoy delivering polished dining experiences for small groups & guest interaction.
Responsibilities
Chef Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute pre-designed menus, which have already been chosen by the clients.
- Cook and plate dishes to a professional standard
- Manage kitchen workflow during service
- Ensure food hygiene and safety standards are maintained
- Work efficiently in different venue kitchens or temporary setups
- Coordinate service timing with the front-of-house assistant
Front-of-House Assistant (Provided by You)
- Assist with plating during service
- Serve dishes to guests when required
- Support event setup and breakdown
- Maintain professional guest interaction
- Ensure service areas remain organised
Requirements
- Previous experience in private dining, catering, or event kitchens
- Comfortable cooking for 10–20 guests
- Strong plating and service execution
- Ability to bring a reliable front-of-house assistant
- Professional, organised, and calm during service
- Ability to adapt to different kitchen environments
