Job Title: Barista (Full-Time / Part-Time)
Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate, high-energy Barista to join our growing team. We are a humble, neighbourhood-focused coffee shop dedicated to serving an exceptional cup of coffee alongside delicious pastries, artisan cakes, and tasty, comforting breakfasts. Whether welcoming a daily regular by name or greeting a first-time guest, we treat everyone like family, ensuring they leave with great food, a perfect brew, and a warm smile.
Key Responsibilities
· Grind, brew, and serve premium espresso-based drinks, teas, and seasonal specials strictly adhering to our quality standards and recipes. Pour visually appealing latte art to elevate the daily guest experience would be advantageous.
· Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders, process payments via our digital POS system, and confidently make menu recommendations.
· Maintain a spotless workspace by constantly cleaning the coffee bar, washing utensils, sanitising service areas, and emptying bins.
· Perform basic daily maintenance, back-flushing, and cleaning on our espresso machine and grinders.
· Track milk, Coffee bean and restocking fridges and shelves to ensure seamless service.
· Adhere strictly to all our health, hygiene, and food safety standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
· Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a barista in a specialty coffee shop, cafe, or high-volume hospitality environment is preferred.
· Skills: Strong hand-eye coordination, ability to multitask under pressure, and excellent verbal communication.
· Attitude: A positive, teachable mindset with a genuine enthusiasm for specialty coffee culture.
· Availability: Flexibility to work a rotating schedule that includes early mornings, weekends, and occasional bank holidays.
· Teamwork: A collaborative spirit who supports coworkers during rush periods to keep ticket times low.
