We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and highly regarded independent primary school in Islington, North London, seeking an experienced Year 6 Teacher to join their team on a fixed-term contract from September 2026 to August 2027.
This is a full-time position, with salary paid throughout the duration of the contract, including all school holidays.
The school has been recognised by Ofsted as Good, with inspectors praising its nurturing environment, positive pupil behaviour, strong leadership, and the quality of teaching that enables pupils to make good progress. The Role
- Full-time Year 6 class teacher
- Fixed-term contract: September 2026 – August 2027
- Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that prepare pupils for the transition to secondary education
- Foster a positive, inclusive and inspiring classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the wider school community
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven Key Stage 2 teaching experience within a UK school
- Experience teaching Year 6 is highly desirable
- Excellent knowledge of the English National Curriculum
- Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for every child
