Wraparound Care Practitioner
27 Hours per Week | Term Time Only

A welcoming and vibrant primary school is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Wraparound Care Practitioner to join our team from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced childcare professional who is passionate about supporting children's development in a safe, engaging and nurturing environment before and after the school day.
The successful candidate will work as part of our wraparound provision, delivering high-quality care and activities that promote children's wellbeing, social development and enjoyment. The role involves supervising children attending our breakfast and after-school clubs, ensuring they are safe, engaged and supported throughout their time in the provision.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30am – 9:00am
- 2:30pm – 6:00pm
- Total of 27 hours per week
- Term Time Only
We are looking for a caring, reliable and energetic individual who can build positive relationships with children, parents and staff, whilst creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all children attending the provision.
The successful candidate will have:
- A recognised Level 3 Childcare Qualification (essential).
- Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting.
- A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to organise and lead engaging activities for children of varying ages and interests.
- A positive, flexible and proactive approach to work.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing high-quality care and supervision during breakfast and after-school club sessions.
- Planning and delivering a range of fun, creative and age-appropriate activities.
- Supporting children's social, emotional and physical development.
- Preparing and serving light refreshments in line with health and safety requirements.
- Maintaining accurate registers and ensuring the safety and welfare of all children.
- Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging respectful relationships.
- Liaising effectively with parents, carers and school staff.
- Ensuring all safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies are followed at all times.
