We are seeking a proactive and detailed Part time Finance Administrator to join our team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for finance and accounting to contribute to our organisation’s financial operations. The successful candidate will support various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial record-keeping. Key Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls and assist with finance-related queries
- Act as a liaison between Finance and our Field Sales, Telesales and Key Accounts teams.
- Respond to emails in a shared finance inbox
- Provide cover for our daily banking receipts, working with colleagues to make sure bank reconciliations are completed
- Take payments from customers
- Support credit control by taking responsibility for part of our debtor ledger
- Support purchase ledger at month-end to reconcile supplier statements
- Provide cover for finance team members when they are absent
- Assist the Financial Controller with ad-hoc reporting requirements
Qualifications/experience/skills required:
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar Accounts role
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Willingness and ability to learn new systems
- Clear, polite, and professional communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- A self-motivated working style and the ability to manage your own time
Skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Good understanding of accounts payable processes and general financial principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with organisational policies regarding confidentiality and data protection is desirable.
The role is site based, working Monday - Friday - 22.5 hours per week (10.00am - 3.00pm) from our Nottingham office.
