Experienced Gardener / Team Leader
Location: Chipping Norton and surrounding areas
Salary: £14.00 - £17.00 per hour (£30,940 - £37,570 equivalent), depending on experience

Greenscapes is a growing grounds maintenance and landscaping company working across commercial and private properties throughout Chipping Norton and the surrounding villages. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Gardener / Team Leader to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and developing a wide variety of high-quality sites.
The successful candidate will be confident working independently, leading a small team when required, and maintaining consistently high standards of workmanship. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to grow with an ambitious and expanding business.
Responsibilities
- Leading and supervising a small team on commercial and private maintenance sites
- Grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting and general garden maintenance
- Planting, pruning, weeding and seasonal horticultural work
- Ensuring sites are completed to a high standard and on schedule
- Allocating tasks and supporting team members throughout the day
- Communicating professionally with clients when required
- Identifying issues, reporting defects and highlighting additional work opportunities
- Assisting with landscaping projects when required
- Monitoring plant health and carrying out appropriate maintenance
- Maintaining equipment, tools and company vehicles
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in professional gardening, grounds maintenance or landscaping
- Strong knowledge of plant care and horticultural practices
- Ability to work independently and manage daily workloads
- Experience using professional gardening equipment and power tools
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience leading or supervising a team
- Trailer towing experience
- Plant identification and horticultural qualifications
- Experience operating a wide range of commercial grounds maintenance equipment

Working Hours
Monday to Friday
Typical hours:
7:30am – 4:30pm
