Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards at The Cottage Inn . This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment, with a focus on delivering high-quality cleaning services in a professional environment. This is a 5 day per week role, Thursday to Monday. The hours are flexible, you could work 6am - 8am, 7am - 9am, or even 10am - 12pm. You would be a key holder.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to ensure they meet health and safety standards
- Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls as needed
- Use commercial cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
