We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Trust Registrar in the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology to start with us as soon as possible. Ideally the post holder will have UK experience at the level of a ST4 or above. This post is part of a service improvement to uplift the workforce from a 1:8 to a 1:10.
There is excellent accommodation nearby with ample leisure facilities and outstanding schools within the area. Birmingham International Airport is close by as are the Birmingham and Coventry conurbations with their excellent shopping and cultural facilities.
We have a 10 bedded labour suite; 23 bedded post-natal ward and Gynaecology patients are managed on our surgical wards. We run a variety of clinics, day case lists, inpatient lists, including early pregnancy unit.
The successful applicant will be required to work a 1:8 full shift rota initially, which will progress to a 1:10 as soon as recruitment is complete.
Applicants should hold full GMC registration and a minimum of 6 months experience within the UK.

Perform duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances at the request of the appropriate Consultant, in consultation where practical, with colleagues both senior and junior has been agreed between the profession and the Department that while juniors accept that they will perform such duties, the Secretary of State stresses that additional commitments arising under this subsection are exceptional and that juniors should not be required to undertake work of this kind for prolonged periods or on a regular.
Instruction of student nurses, pupil midwives and undergraduate medical students from Warwick
Lecturing to student nurses and pupil midwives and undergraduate medical students, providing the holder of the post is recognised as a lecturer by the Central Midwives
Involvement in research / audit is required, and although no time is specifically allocated for this purpose for any of the medical staff in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, there is a busy audit programme in progress.
Attendance at administrative meetings is encouraged.
The Acute Unit has developed The Directorate System of administration.
