About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Art Teacher to make a real impact in a school that values both technical skill and contemporary artistic enquiry. You will be responsible for delivering engaging, challenging, and inspiring Art lessons across a range of media.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching Art & Design across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level Fine Art, Photography, or Textiles.
- Delivering differentiated lessons to motivated students, helping them develop sophisticated portfolios for university and art college applications.
- Developing students’ technical skills in drawing, painting, printmaking, and 3D design while encouraging personal, conceptual growth.
- Leading co-curricular enrichment, such as after-school art clubs, workshops with visiting artists, and gallery visits.
- Contributing to the curation of school-wide exhibitions and the celebration of student achievement.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an Art Teacher who is a practicing creative and a committed educator, eager to inspire the next generation of artists and designers.
- A degree in Fine Art, Graphic Design, or a related creative discipline.
- QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- An engaging classroom practitioner with a strong personal portfolio and high expectations for student outcomes.
- The ability to build positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues.
- Applications are welcome from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
