We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Chef De Partie to join our team at Lupton's Chop House in White Cloth Hall. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring consistency and adherence to food safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of orders during busy service periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of any shortages or supplies needed
- Assist with plating dishes attractively and efficiently for presentation purposes
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and quality control
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
- Previous experience serving customers or working in a customer-facing role is advantageous but not essential
