We are seeking a reliable and efficient Parcel Courier to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting parcels promptly and safely across designated routes. The Parcel Courier will play a vital role in ensuring parcels are collected & scanned on time, maintaining high standards of professionalism and organisation throughout their daily duties.
Duties
- Collect bulk parcels from the Parcel Shops and scan efficiently
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Collecting approximately 10-15 rounds of bulk Parcels max, ensuring accuracy and care during handling
- maintaining detailed records
- Assist with loading and unloading parcels, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding collection status or issues
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier is required
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving or warehouse operations is advantageous
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Organised with excellent time management skills to meet deadlines consistently
- Knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations within the area is desirable
- Physical fitness to manage long periods of driving and manual handling tasks
This role is ideal for drivers over the age of 25 motivated individuals who take pride in their work, possess good organisational skills, and enjoy working independently while providing excellent customer service. We are looking for Someone ready to start work at 9.30am and cover routes between 6-9hrs per day.
