We're currently working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Newquay that is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, ongoing basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a school that genuinely values its staff and is committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
The role will involve supporting pupils across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is confident working with children of different ages and abilities. You'll work closely with teachers and other support staff to help create a positive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.
The school has a friendly and inclusive atmosphere, with a strong focus on teamwork and ensuring children feel supported both academically and emotionally. Staff are encouraged to collaborate, share ideas and build positive relationships throughout the school community.
The Role
- Supporting learning across KS1 and KS2 classrooms
- Working alongside class teachers to deliver engaging learning activities
- Providing additional support to pupils who may need extra guidance
- Encouraging pupil participation, confidence and independence
- Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Supporting the social and emotional development of pupils
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with children
- Is enthusiastic, patient and approachable
- Can adapt their support to meet the needs of different learners
- Builds positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Is passionate about helping children achieve their best
Desirable Experience
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Previous experience within a primary school setting
- Experience supporting children with additional learning needs
