Responsibilities
- Assisting with loading and unloading materials, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed
- Supporting the movement of goods, equipment, and supplies around the site using appropriate tools and machinery
- Preparing work areas by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and ensuring safety standards are met
- Assisting fellow workers with their tasks as required, including holding tools or fetching materials
- Maintaining cleanliness of the work environment to promote health and safety standards
- Following instructions from supervisors regarding daily tasks and safety protocols
- Participating in site safety meetings and adhering to all health and safety regulations
Experience
- Previous experience in manual labour or similar roles is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks over extended periods
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a construction or industrial environment
