Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 tramper driver to join our team for a 14-week holiday cover period, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering goods across various locations, ensuring high standards of service and compliance with all road safety regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in commercial driving within a dynamic logistics environment.
Duties
- Operate flatbed (CRANE OR MOFET EXPERIENCE AN ADVANTAGE) HGV Class 1 vehicles to transport goods safely and securely
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner, adhering to delivery schedules
- Ensure all cargo is properly secured and compliant with safety standards
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies during transit
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding delivery status and any issues encountered
- Assist with loading and unloading as required, ensuring proper handling of goods
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly HGV vehicles or similar equipment
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for HGV operation
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Delivery driver experience preferred, demonstrating reliability and punctuality
- Ability to operate flatbed trucks safely and efficiently
- Good organisational skills to manage schedules and paperwork accurately
- Physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks when necessary
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions diligently
- English speaking a must

Pay: Up to £1,036.00 per week
