Job Overview

Prior experience in senior care, dementia care, or Alzheimer’s care is highly valued. Candidates must be committed to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety at all times.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medication in accordance with prescribed care plans and medical terminology guidelines
- Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation practices
Requirements
- Proven experience in nursing home, care home, or home care environments; dementia or Alzheimer’s care experience is advantageous
- Certification in first aid is essential; additional training in medication administration is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and case management practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting clients with mobility or transfers
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage behaviour effectively
- Valid driving licence for transportation duties; clean driving record preferred
- Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to patient dignity and confidentiality
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required; a genuine interest in senior and medical patient care is essential
