Overview
We are seeking a skilled Reach Truck Driver to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating reach trucks to handle materials efficiently within a busy warehouse environment. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, equipment maintenance, and materials handling processes. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic logistics setting, supporting shipping and receiving operations while maintaining high safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate reach trucks to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
- Assist with inventory management using Warehouse Management System (WMS) software
- Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal operation
- Handle materials with precision, ensuring correct placement and storage according to company protocols
- Support shipping and receiving activities by accurately moving products between loading bays and storage areas
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets and deadlines
Requirements
- Valid forklift licence with proven experience operating reach trucks in a warehouse setting
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
- Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting
- Strong materials handling skills, including load & unload operations
- Good understanding of shipping & receiving processes
- Basic mathematical skills for inventory counts and measurements
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks as required
