This role is based at the Townfield Community Centre.
The role in a nutshell:
As a Volunteer Gardener, you’ll be at the heart of our efforts to maintain and tidy the Townfield Community Centre Garden, creating a space that is attractive and welcoming to staff and visitors.
What will you be doing?
- To undertake light pruning, weeding and planting when necessary
- To keep the outdoor space clean and free from litter
- To ensure flowerbeds and plant pots are kept neat, tidy and in good condition
- To work within the guidelines of health & safety in the workplace
- To inform office facilities of any defective equipment and tools
- To incorporate environmentally friendly practices in the garden and surrounding spaces

What skills, interests or experience might be helpful in this role?
- Have some experience and knowledge of gardening
- Have good communication and listening skills
- Are reasonably fit and willing to work out of doors in all weather
- Have a positive, organised and flexible approach to work
