Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bistro Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food service, and a comprehensive understanding of hospitality standards. Duties
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service during shifts
- Supervise and support team members, including food preparation, serving, and kitchen staff
- Coordinate food production to meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to optimise team productivity
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Assist in training new staff members in service procedures and safety protocols
- Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction
- Monitor stock levels and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment of supplies
- Organise staff meetings and promote a positive working environment centred on teamwork and hospitality excellence
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience in team management with the ability to motivate and lead diverse groups of staff
- Background in restaurant or hotel environments is highly desirable, including culinary or kitchen experience
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly yet professional demeanour
- Knowledge of food production processes and service operations such as serving or barista duties is advantageous
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to organise tasks efficiently under pressure
- A genuine passion for hospitality, culinary arts, and delivering exceptional guest experiences
