Freelance Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), Level 4 Sports Massage and Level 4 Strength & Conditioning
Rowe's Sports and Academic Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Freelance Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to support the quality assurance of our regulated Level 4 Sports Massage and Level 4 Strength and Conditioning qualifications.
Role: Freelance Internal Quality Assurer (IQA)

Pay Rate: £15 to £20 per learner
Location: Remote
Contract Type: Freelance
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal quality assurance of assessment decisions in line with Focus Awards and Ofqual requirements.
- Sample learner portfolios and assessment decisions to ensure validity, reliability, consistency, and fairness.
- Monitor assessor performance and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Complete and maintain accurate IQA documentation within agreed timescales.
- Participate in standardisation activities and support continuous quality improvement.
- Ensure learners receive a high-quality assessment experience that meets awarding organisation requirements.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must hold all of the following:
- Level 4 Award or Certificate in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices.
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (Assessor's Award)
- Level 4 Sports Massage qualification.
- Level 4 Strength and Conditioning qualification.
- Experience teaching and assessing both Level 4 Sports Massage and Level 4 Strength and Conditioning qualifications.
- Experience carrying out Internal Quality Assurance activities within a regulated awarding organisation framework such as Focus Awards, Active IQ, YMCA Awards, VTCT Skills, or NCFE.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines while working independently.
Desirable
- Experience delivering qualifications through online or blended learning.
- Experience supporting assessors through standardisation and quality improvement activities
