Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic to ensure environments are hygienic, safe, and welcoming. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior janitorial experience or those eager to develop their skills within a professional cleaning environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas
- Clean and sanitise toilets, washbasins, and other sanitary facilities to meet health standards
- Maintain cleanliness of floors and surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or damages identified during cleaning duties
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- SOME LIFTING REQUIRED
- AM Monday to Sunday 7 days a week - flexible work hours
- Bank holidays paid overtime
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within set timeframes
- Good organisational skills and reliability
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining hygiene standards in busy environments
- Ability to work un supervised
