Being a recovery nurse in the NHS is a specialised and vital role within the theatre team. This position involves caring for patients post operatively in the recovery suite, the role involves, undertaking vital signs monitoring, airway management, wound care and pain management & most importantly ensuring patient safety throughout their post operative journey. The flexibility in scheduling enables anaesthetic nurses to manage their work hours effectively, contributing to a balanced lifestyle while providing essential support in high-pressure surgical environments. It's a role that requires precision, teamwork, and a dedication to upholding the highest standards of patient care, making anaesthetic nursing both challenging and immensely rewarding.
What you can add:
· To be responsible for providing skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operating theatre team
· To participate in the assessment of patient care needs implementing and maintaining agreed standards of care.
· Following Codes of Professional Practice to provide high quality care to patients undergoing treatment within the Peri-Operative Environment.
The role will involve but not be limited to you performing the above.
What you’ll need:
- Have a minimum of 6 months UK experience as a Registered Nurse in Theatres
- Registered with NMC
*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
