Functional Assessor
£39500 + Benefits
Embrace a new work-life balance with a role that lets you work half your time in clinic and half at home.
Say goodbye to shift work and late nights. You’ll enjoy Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm hours, giving you back your evenings and weekends.
This is also a chance to change career paths while still using your clinical knowledge. Plus, you’ll get DWP-approved training and ongoing support to help you settle in and succeed.
Other benefits include having your professional membership fees covered, annual salary reviews, and flexible or part-time working options if you need them. With 25 days’ leave plus bank holidays, structured hours and the option to work from home, you’ll get more control over your time.
And you’ll be working for a company that’s been delivering government assessment services for over a decade, with a clear path for your own professional development.
What you’ll do
You’ll hold consultations (by phone, video or in person) with people applying for Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefits. You’ll assess a wide range of conditions and impairments, using your clinical expertise to make fair, accurate decisions.
Your verbal communication skills will be just as important as your ability to write high-quality reports using a specialised IT system. You’ll also work with your manager to keep developing your skills and career as a Functional Assessor.
What you’ll need
- At least 12 months’ experience as a registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist
- Full registration with one of these bodies: Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
