Job Overview
As part of a growing company with ambitious growth targets, you will be responsible for supporting supply chain and procurement by managing vendor relationships, processing purchase orders, tracking shipments, and updating inventory data to ensure goods are delivered on time and to company specifications.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day duties will involve, but are not restricted to:
- Order Processing: Raising and tracking Purchase Orders (POs) using an ERP system
- Inventory Tracking: Monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, and resolving delivery discrepancies
- Sourcing & Supplier Management: Evaluate suppliers, lead times, and terms, and maintain vendor relationships.
- Market Research & Trend Analysis: Monitor market dynamics, track competitor activity, and forecast product trends based on consumer data.
- Data Administration: Maintaining accurate records on ERP system and analysing purchasing data.
Key Requirements and Skills
- Organisation & Detail: High accuracy is needed to match POs with delivery notes and invoices.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for negotiating and problem-solving with suppliers.
- IT Literacy: Strong proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel) and inventory management software.
- Attention to detail
- A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
