We are looking for an experienced and passionate Pastry Chef to join the team full time at 75 at Liberty, a restaurant set within one of London's most iconic department stores. Combining modern British cuisine with a focus on seasonal produce and responsible sourcing, the restaurant offers a refined yet vibrant dining experience centred around exceptional food and drink.
This is a full-time role with the opportunity to take ownership of the pastry section, helping shape and develop the dessert offering while playing a key role within a fast-paced, creative kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the pastry section, overseeing all preparation, production and service of desserts, pastries and baked goods
- Drive the development of the pastry offering, creating seasonal desserts, specials and new menu items
- Work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to continually develop and refine the overall food offering
- Maintain consistently high standards of quality, presentation and execution
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures are followed at all times
- Manage stock within the pastry section, including ordering, rotation and minimising waste
- Support, train and develop junior members of the kitchen team, contributing to a positive and high-performing culture
- Ensure all pastry equipment is clean, well maintained and operating effectively
About You
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef within a high-quality restaurant environment
- Experience working within Michelin-starred or AA Rosette kitchens is essential
- A genuine passion for pastry, desserts and modern British cuisine
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A thorough understanding of food safety, kitchen hygiene and allergen management
- A collaborative approach with a commitment to maintaining high standards and supporting the wider team
