Welfare Officer – Helch Food Market
We are looking for a Welfare Officer to join our late-night team and help ensure a safe, welcoming experience for guests across our food market and cocktail bar.
Hours: Wednesday to Saturday, 10:00pm – 3:00am
Role Overview:
As a Welfare Officer, you will be a calm, friendly and approachable point of contact within the venue for anyone who may need assistance. This could include guests who feel unwell, overwhelmed, or require support during their visit. You’ll work closely with bar staff, security and management to help maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as a visible and approachable welfare presence throughout the venue
- Supporting guests who may feel unwell or need assistance in a calm and respectful manner
- Providing basic first aid where required and escalating concerns appropriately
- Signposting guests to additional support when needed
- Working collaboratively with the wider venue team to promote guest wellbeing and safety
About You:
- Friendly, empathetic, and confident engaging with a diverse range of people
- Able to remain calm in a busy, late-night hospitality environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- First Aid trained (preferred)
- Experience in hospitality, events, welfare, customer service, or nightlife environments is beneficial
