Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a valid HGV Class 2 licence and experience operating HIAB cranes, with a strong focus on safe and efficient delivery of goods. This role involves delivering goods using flatbed lorries and ensuring timely, accurate service to our clients. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic logistics environment, contributing to the smooth operation of our supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles, including flatbed lorries equipped with HIAB crane systems
- Load and unload cargo using the HIAB crane, ensuring secure handling of goods
- Deliver goods to various locations in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during driving and loading operations
- Assist with loading and securing cargo on flatbeds as required
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with relevant driving experience
- CPC Card needed
- FLT Licence advantageous
- Proven experience operating HIAB cranes in a commercial setting
- Knowledge of flatbed vehicle operations and secure cargo handling
- Delivery driver experience preferred, with excellent organisational skills
- Good understanding of road safety regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
