Overview
We are seeking a dynamic production operative to join our Powder Coater team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading parts and eventually applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets our stringent standards. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge/understanding.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning and masking as necessary.
- Apply powder coating using electrostatic spray equipment, ensuring even coverage and adherence to specifications.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Maintain equipment and work area, ensuring cleanliness and safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Troubleshoot any issues with the coating process or equipment as they arise.
- Inspect completed work for quality and consistency
- Adhere to H&S policy and procedures
Experience
- Previous experience in powder coating or a similar role is desired.
- Proficiency in electrostatic spray Equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand equipment operation and maintenance
- Familiarity with painting techniques, particularly powder coating processes, is preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail

This is a night shift role Monday to Thursday 6pm-6am
