Raw Materials QA
Humdinger, Sherburn in Elmet, LS25 6PJ
Position type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 37.5
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30
Pay range: £25,487 /annum
Breaks: 30 minutes
Closing date: 12/06/2026
Responsibilities:
- Support daily intake of raw materials, ensuring timely assessment and release from quality hold

Monitor held stock and prioritise efficient clearance

Carry out quality checks and testing (e.g. size, shelf life, viscosity, weight, and micro-sampling) to ensure materials meet required standards

Complete routine sampling to support food safety and due diligence requirements

Review results against specifications and escalate any non-conformances

Work closely with Operations and Technical teams to resolve quality issues

Assist with laboratory testing and continuous quality improvements

Maintain procedures and ensure compliance with food safety and warehouse standards

Support internal audits and ensure adherence to customer and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:

Prior experience in a quality role within a fast-paced FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment

Strong proficiency in English and Mathematics

Knowledge of pest control, supported by relevant training

Solid understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Ability to perform effectively under pressure
Desirable:

Level 3 HACCP certification
-
Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification

Training in Segregation and Integrity
-
Experience with COP (Code of Practice) reviews

Proven track record in complaints reduction
