About the Role
D&S Healthcare Ltd is a supported living and home care provider based in Colchester, Essex. We are looking for a warm, resilient, and dedicated female Support Worker to join our team, supporting a female service user who is transitioning from a hospital setting into her own flat within our supported living service.
This is a genuinely meaningful role. You will be instrumental in helping our service user build a safe, stable, and fulfilling life in the community — many for the first time. You will work as part of a small, close-knit team, with strong management support around you.
What You'll Be Doing
✓ Providing person-centred support that respects the service user's independence, choices and goals
✓ Assisting with daily living tasks including personal care, cooking, laundry and household management
✓ Supporting the service user to engage with her community and pursue meaningful activities
✓ Following and contributing to her care plan, and reporting any changes to the Senior Support Worker
✓ Using trauma-informed and DBT-informed approaches to support emotional regulation and wellbeing
✓ Maintaining consistent, professional and caring boundaries at all times
✓ Keeping accurate records in line with CQC requirements
✓ Promoting safeguarding, dignity and the service user's rights at every stage
About You

✓ Able to work flexibly including evenings, weekends and sleep-in shifts
✓ Committed to safeguarding and the welfare of vulnerable adults
✓ Willing to work within a trauma-informed care framework (full training provided)
✓ Committed to completing the Care Certificate and NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care

Pay: £13.50 per hour
