Abbey Sales and Lettings Ltd, trading externally as Shires Estate & Letting Agents, are looking for a commercially minded, creative and highly organised Marketing Associate to take ownership of our marketing from start to finish.
This is not a role for someone who needs a committee meeting to choose a font, posts the same property photos every day or waits to be told what to do next.
We are looking for someone who can spot an opportunity, come up with a great idea, create it, deliver it and bring it to the right people for sign-off. Someone who understands that marketing should generate leads, build trust, show personality and make people remember us.
The Job
You will lead day-to-day marketing activity across the business, working closely with the Head of Departments and wider team.
You will be trusted to take ideas from concept through to delivery, with decision-makers there to give direction and final approval when needed.
Your work will support four key outcomes:
- Generating more sales valuation opportunities
- Generating more lettings valuation opportunities
- Creating investor leads and opportunities
- Building stronger brand awareness and market presence for Shires Estate & Letting Agents
The aim is not simply to post more properties.
We want marketing that feels different. Marketing that is local, useful, entertaining, distinctive and funny. Marketing that shows who we are, the people behind the business, the communities we work in and why clients should choose Shires.
You Will
- Take ownership of marketing projects from initial idea through to completed delivery
- Develop creative campaigns that generate sales valuations, lettings valuations, investor enquiries and local awareness
- Bring ideas to decision-makers for sign-off, then make them happen
- Create marketing that reflects the real personality of Shires Estate & Letting Agents
- Show the people behind the brand through staff-led content, behind-the-scenes activity, local stories, team features and day-to-day moments
- Create social media content that is original, engaging, relevant and not just a stream of property listings
- Plan and manage activity across our key social media channels
- Film, edit and produce high-quality short-form video content for social media, website use, campaigns and recruitment
- Be confident appearing behind the camera, directing colleagues on camera and helping people feel comfortable taking part
- Create content that can be informative, funny, relatable, useful or memorable, while still being professional and on-brand
- Support property marketing where needed
- Keep the website accurate, current and commercially effective
- Create and manage leaflet campaigns, including general area campaigns and “Sold in Your Street” activity
- Coordinate business cards, folders, valuation packs, internal brochures and other client-facing materials
- Help plan, market and support launch events, local events, sponsorships and community activity
- Keep Google Business Profile pages active, current and well managed
- Support activity that encourages, collects and responds to customer reviews
- Help manage branding across boards, office signage, window displays, printed materials and property portals
- Create and deliver email campaigns, newsletters and database communications
- Monitor results, report on what is working and improve activity based on leads, engagement and performance
- Keep an eye on competitors, local trends and opportunities that could help us stand out
- Work with external suppliers, photographers, designers, printers and partners when needed
- Bring fresh ideas, challenge ordinary marketing and help us stay ahead of the local market
You Will Have
- Experience in marketing, social media, content creation, communications or a similar role
- A strong understanding of how marketing supports lead generation and commercial growth
- Proven experience filming and editing video content for social media or digital campaigns
- Confidence using video editing tools, Canva, social media scheduling platforms, email marketing systems and website content platforms
- Strong copywriting skills and the ability to write in a clear, confident and engaging way
- A good eye for branding, design, detail and consistency
- The ability to create content that is professional while still being interesting, human and full of personality
- Confidence bringing ideas to life without needing constant direction
- The ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and priorities at the same time
- Confidence working with directors, colleagues, suppliers and local partners
- A proactive, practical mindset and a willingness to get stuck in
- A genuine interest in property, people, local communities and building a recognisable local brand
Experience in estate agency, lettings, property marketing or local business marketing would be useful, but creativity, initiative and the ability to make things happen matter just as much.
You’ll Get
- A competitive salary, depending on experience
- A varied role with real ownership and visible impact
- The freedom to take good ideas and turn them into real campaigns
- Direct access to decision-makers without unnecessary layers of approval
- Genuine opportunities to develop as the business grows
- A supportive, ambitious team around you
- Discounted fees for sales, lettings and related services
- Room to make your mark and actually enjoy coming to work
