Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner at Level 2 or Level 3 to join our childcare team in Hanningfield, CM3 8BH. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children within a nurturing environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with childcare experience to contribute to early childhood education and make a positive impact on young learners. The role involves working closely with children, parents, and colleagues to deliver high-quality care and educational activities.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's development across all areas.
- Support children’s emotional, social, and physical needs through attentive care and interaction.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with parents and team members.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging independence and confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of daily routines.
- Support the implementation of the nursery’s policies and procedures.
- Assist with organising outings and activities outside the nursery setting when necessary.
- Contribute to ongoing assessments and planning for individual children's learning journeys.
Requirements
- A recognised qualification at Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare or Early Childhood Education.
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative.
- Passion for working with children and supporting their early development stages.
- A driving licence is recommended due to the rural location of our nursery.
- Knowledge of current childcare legislation, safeguarding policies, and best practices in early childhood education.
