Semi Senior Accountant - 5 day working over 4 days - Rotherham
The Role
Barber McLelland is working in Partnership with an innovative independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Rotherham, who are looking to appoint a Semi-Senior Accountant.
The firm is a progressive accountancy firm, adopting best working practices and utilising the latest software solutions. In addition, the business can provide individuals with a highly structured and supportive environment to help continue their career development.
Duties and Responsibilities
The role of Accounts Semi Senior will work within a highly experienced team and will be responsible for the following:
- The preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations
- Bookkeeping and VAT compliance – The role will include an element of client care, record-keeping and VAT compliance.
- Develop experience and confidence in dealing directly with the client, this will include the need to make telephone calls and generate and send emails and written correspondence
Skills and Qualities
The successful applicant must have developed a minimum of 2 years experience working within the accountancy profession and will be AAT level 3 or 4 or part qualified ACCA.
The individual will also need good communication skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
Remuneration
- £28,000 - £30,000
- Full Study support
- 5-day working week over 4 days, including 1 day WFH after the probation period
- 25 Days holiday plus stats (pro rata for 4 day/week)
