We are looking to recruit a friendly, reliable and motivated Part-Time Dispenser to join our busy and supportive GP practice team.
This is an important patient-facing role within the practice, supporting the safe and efficient dispensing of medication and providing excellent service to our patients.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Processing and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Managing repeat prescription requests
- Liaising with GPs, pharmacists and patients regarding medication queries
- Stock control and monitoring of dispensary supplies
- Ensuring all dispensing records are maintained accurately
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the dispensary
- Providing a professional and helpful service to patients at all times
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- A flexible and proactive approach, including holiday cover where required
Previous GP practice or NHS dispensing experience is essential. Applicants must hold an NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent recognised qualification). Knowledge of EMIS Web would be highly advantageous.
