Shifts:
Monday to Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm
Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm–12:00am
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x
Bonus: 6% bonus eligible after probation
About the Role
We are looking for experienced CNC Turner / Programmers to join a busy machining team due to increased workload. This role would suit skilled CNC Turners who are confident programming, setting and operating CNC lathes using Fanuc controls.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing machined components to specification, making programme edits, setting machines and ensuring quality standards are consistently met.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is confident on CNC turning machines and comfortable working in a shift-based manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme, set and operate CNC turning machines.
- Work with Fanuc controls.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Produce precision components to required specifications.
- Edit programmes and make adjustments as required.
- Change offsets, set tools and adjust machining parameters.
- Carry out basic inspection of machined parts.
- Troubleshoot basic machining or tooling issues.
- Maintain production efficiency and quality standards.
- Follow health and safety procedures.
- Work as part of a busy shift-based machining team.
Requirements
- Experience as a CNC Turner, CNC Lathe Programmer or CNC Setter Programmer.
- Fanuc experience essential.
- Able to programme, set and operate CNC turning machines.
- Confident editing programmes and changing offsets.
- Able to read engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of tooling and machining processes.
- Medium or high-volume machining experience beneficial.
- Able to work to quality standards and tolerances.
- Reliable and comfortable working shifts.
Package
- £18–£19 per hour.
