Afterschool Club Tutor – Inspire, Engage, Lead
Ideal for those who love working with children
Croydon | Part-time | £14,000 per year
Monday to Friday, 3:00pm–5:30pm (plus 1 paid hour per week for preparation)
Start date: September 2026 (training required in summer)
Do you enjoy working with children and know how to capture their attention, explain ideas clearly, and manage behaviour positively?
We are looking for two dedicated and enthusiastic After-school Club Tutors to deliver engaging sessions in our partner schools across Croydon, Bromley and Dulwich
All lesson content is fully prepared for you, including interactive presentations, questions and activities . Your role is to deliver sessions confidently, manage behaviour positively and help create a lively, safe and inclusive learning environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to inspiring children and possess the ability to communicate effectively and captivating with students of various backgrounds and learning abilities. This role is pivotal in providing tailored support to enhance students' understanding and confidence in their studies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Someone based in or able to easily travel to Croydon, Dulwich or Bromley
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage children
- Access to a car and safe storage at home for transporting and looking after equipment (checked each half-term)
- Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
- Reliable, self-motivated and confident working independently
- Availability Monday to Friday, 3:00pm–5:30pm, with 1 paid hour per week to review session materials and prepare to deliver
- Able to start in early September 2026
- Willing to attend training sessions during summer (dates to be confirmed)
- Must have no criminal record, be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check, and provide two professional references
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Delivering fun, structured after-school sessions using our ready-made curriculum
- Transporting and maintaining club equipment responsibly
- Supporting the growth of the club by creating a welcoming and exciting environment for all pupils
