Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in a home care or care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities and promoting independence while fostering a positive environment.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with mobility and physical activities to enhance their independence.
- Prepare and assist with meals according to care plans and dietary needs.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and progress, following established care plans.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients as needed.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
