Churchill & Blakedown Golf Club is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Bar Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operation of our clubhouse bar and hospitality services.
As one of the region's established golf clubs, we pride ourselves on providing excellent service to our members, guests, and visitors. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys leading a team, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operation of the clubhouse bar and front-of-house hospitality services.
- Lead, motivate, and support bar staff, ensuring high standards of service are maintained at all times.
- Deliver excellent customer service to members, guests, society groups, and visitors.
- Prepare and serve a range of beverages, including draught products, wines, spirits and speciality coffees.
- Manage stock levels, ordering, stock rotation, and supplier relationships.
- Beer line cleaning
- Monitor cash handling procedures and ensure accurate till management.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene throughout the clubhouse.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and food hygiene requirements.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of club events, functions, competitions, and private bookings.
- Train and develop team members to maintain excellent service standards.
- Work closely with the Club Management and Committee to support the continued success of the club.
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a bar, club, hospitality, or catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of bar operations and customer service.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Experience with stock control, ordering, and cash management.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy hospitality environment.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
Desirable
- Experience working within a golf club, sports club, members' club, or similar environment.
- Knowledge of cellar management and draught systems.
- Experience organising hospitality for events and functions.
- First Aid and Food Hygiene qualifications.
