Job Summary
This role is a Part-time role with the hours 3pm- 8pm (Minimum 4.5 hours a day) Monday to Friday. Approx. 22.5 – 25 hours a week from 3pm - 8pm Monday to Friday.
We are seeking an afternoon Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling shipments and ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management systems, shipping and receiving within a fast-paced environment. This position would suit a college leaver or someone wishing to change career.
Applicants must have transport due to depot location.
Duties
- Handle parcels efficiently, including loading, unloading, and moving stock within the warehouse
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and competently - training will be provided but is desirable
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
- Ensure health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times during daily operations
Requirements
- Physically fit with the ability to perform heavy lifting regularly
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards safety and efficiency
