Tyre Fitter
Location: Thurleigh, Bedfordshire
Shift: Monday-Friday, 07:30-17:00
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour
Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing Work
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading automotive business in Thurleigh, who are seeking an experienced Tyre Fitter to join their busy workshop operation. This is a great opportunity for someone with tyre fitting experience who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and wants to secure a long-term position within the automotive industry.
The Role:
As a Tyre Fitter, your responsibilities will include:
- Inspecting tyres for pressure, tread depth, wear, and overall condition
- Repairing or replacing damaged and worn tyres
- Carrying out wheel balancing and tyre fitting duties
- Identifying tyre-related issues and reporting any additional vehicle defects
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
- Supporting other workshop activities when required
The Person:
- Previous experience as a Tyre Fitter, Tyre Technician, or similar automotive role
- Good understanding of tyre fitting and wheel balancing procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable with a positive attitude towards work
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences
