Ag or Turf Parts Manager
Thomas Sherriff are looking to recruit a Parts Manager at our busy Hexham outlet. Our Parts Managers report to the Outlet Manager and play a central part in our mission to provide excellent customer experiences. Our parts department is a busy place, from serving customers both in person and on the phone to ensuring our stock is correct. Excellent customer service is a must, we expect all our customers to get the same outstanding levels of customer service.
In addition to customer-facing duties, this role will also spend time supporting the set out of the retail store and conducting stock takes. Experience in an agricultural, automotive, construction or garden equipment parts department is preferred but not essential. You will develop an excellent working knowledge of our products John Deere, Kuhn, Kramer to name a few and use the tools provided be able to answer the customer's queries.
Job Description:
- Allocates tasks to parts employees, based on their expertise and skills.
- Promotes and sells parts and/or services to meet customer needs both face to face and over the phone
- Ensures that everyone knows and understands the department’s mission, tasks and responsibilities.
- Monitors parts sales on a monthly basis to ensure achievement of budgeted sales and profit goals.
- Participates in the development and execution of the Parts Marketing Plan.
- Executes parts processes, guidelines and policies consistently i.e. (ordering, receiving, inventory, selling, return and marketing).
- Ensures strong adherence of the JD RPM system
- Utilise Expert Connect system for all customer communications
- Maintains good discipline and organisation of the parts department and its surroundings, ensuring that everything is organized, clean and safe.
- Submit parts return claims within the required timeframe to receive maximum credits allowed.
- Assists with the development and training of parts personnel and complete performance reviews of parts staff.
- Assists with counter sales to support customer needs.
- Responsible for sales via JD Place, ensuring the showroom is organized to increase sales. Creates and maintains an attractive and rewarding display for the most popular parts.
- Contributes to recruiting, staffing and developing the outlet parts employees.
Person Specification:
- Competent knowledge of agricultural equipment and the farming industry preferred
- Ability to use standard computer applications and internet functions
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Familiar with franchises and competitive products
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends
- Passion and drive for exceeding targets

Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
