Job Title: Warehouse Manager
Location: Rainham, Essex
Shifts: Monday to Friday (06:00 to 15:30, 08:00 to 17:00, 11:00 to 20:00). Saturday: 06:00 to 12:00pm

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Manager to lead the operations of our distribution centre in Rainham, Essex. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management within the FMCG sector, with a proven track record of optimizing processes, managing inventory, and leading teams to success.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all warehouse operations, including goods receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes to optimize productivity and minimize costs.
Ensure accurate inventory management through regular stock counts, perpetual inventory checks, and reconciliation.
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to maintain adequate stock levels and meet customer demand.
Day to day management of the warehouse operations in order to manage and develop KPIs.
Manage the deployment and performance of the warehouse teams in order to drive operational efficiencies, service excellence and productivity within the business.
Demonstrate the expected behaviours and standards of a people leader to help recruit, engage and develop the capability of our people and generate the right customer service culture for our business.
Ensure company assets in the warehouse are controlled and safeguarded at all times in order to keep costs down.
Support and work with other depots in order to ensure service levels are achieved.
Ensure that all audits and legal standards are met and exceeded to ensure the compliance of the depot (BRC, Organic, Accounting).
Effectively manage and lead the team through change, through promoting the positive outputs of change, seeking to understand the impact of change on individuals and adapting approach to meet all needs
This role will span across IT, Health & Safety, Facilities Management, people management and Continuous Improvement.
The position will report to the Board of Directors. With a number of Direct Reports across Supervisors, Team leaders and over 50 employees.
Implement and enforce health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment for all staff.
Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback as needed.
Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and other external stakeholders.
Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology to track and monitor inventory movements and performance metrics and other relevant software tools.
Analyse data and generate reports and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and drive operational excellence.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in warehouse management within the FMCG industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
Ideally you will have a working knowledge of Agile teams and how to develop an Agile mindset within an organisation.
