Treo Recruitment are supporting a leading specialist in Legionella Risk Assessments and Water Hygiene Compliance, is looking for an experienced Remedial Plumber to join their growing team covering the Yorkshire region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled plumber looking to develop their career within the water hygiene and Legionella compliance sector. You'll be joining a reputable business with a strong client base across healthcare, education, commercial and residential sectors.
The Role
As a Remedial Plumber, you will carry out a range of plumbing and water hygiene remedial works following Legionella Risk Assessments, ensuring client water systems remain compliant and safe.
You will work across multiple customer sites throughout Yorkshire, delivering high-quality remedial solutions and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out remedial plumbing works identified through Legionella Risk Assessments.
- Installation, replacement and maintenance of thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs).
- Dead leg removals and pipework alterations.
- Tank modifications, repairs and replacements.
- Installation and maintenance of water hygiene equipment.
- Temperature monitoring and system checks where required.
- Identifying and rectifying non-compliant water systems.
- Completing accurate job reports and compliance documentation.
- Working in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
- Providing excellent customer service while representing DTB Water on client sites.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience as a Plumber, Remedial Plumber, Maintenance Plumber or Water Hygiene Engineer.
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems and remedial works.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Desirable:
- Experience within the Water Hygiene or Legionella Compliance sector.
- Knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidelines.
- Experience working on commercial water systems.
- TMV servicing and installation experience.
- Legionella awareness or water hygiene qualifications.
