Children's Residential Care Home Administrator
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
About the Role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of our children's residential home. The successful candidate will provide administrative, compliance, and systems support to ensure the home operates efficiently and meets regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and populate documents, reports, forms, and spreadsheets.
- Manage and update tracking systems, databases, and care management software.
- Produce accurate meeting minutes and distribute actions.
- Support audits, compliance monitoring, and regulatory requirements, including Ofsted and Regulation 44 processes.
- Maintain training records and monitor staff compliance.
- Assist with budgeting, purchasing, and financial administration.
- Collate and analyse data for management reports.
- Support staff with system access, logins, and basic IT queries.
- Maintain organised electronic and paper filing systems.
- Provide general administrative support to the management team and cover reception duties when required.
Essential Requirements
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
- Experience creating and maintaining documents, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Confident using multiple IT systems.
- Excellent minute-taking and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
Desirable
- Experience within children's residential care, social care, or a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and children's home regulations.
Knowledge of the care sector would be an advantage but is not essential.
