Operations & Supply Chain Manager
We’re looking for a highly organised, commercially minded Operations Manager to help drive the next stage of growth in our fast-paced food business.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on improving systems, solving problems, managing supply chains, and making operations run smoothly at scale.
You’ll oversee day-to-day operations across supply chain, logistics, stock management, supplier coordination, fulfilment, and process improvement — ensuring we deliver exceptional service while maintaining efficiency and profitability.
This role is officed based, initially split between Bedale and York – some travel to suppliers may be required.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing day-to-day business operations
- Overseeing supply chain and stock management
- Managing supplier relationships and performance
- Improving operational systems and processes
- Coordinating logistics and fulfilment
- Reducing waste and improving efficiency
- Supporting growth and scalability across the business
- Working cross-functionally with sales, finance, warehouse, and production teams
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, foodservice, or retail supply
- Understands supply chain and operational management
- Is highly organised and detail-oriented
- Can take ownership and drive accountability
- Has strong commercial awareness
- Is calm under pressure and solutions-focused
- Enjoys building systems and improving performance
- Wants to make a genuine impact in a growing business
Desirable Experience
- BRC / HACCP knowledge
- ERP or stock management systems
- Logistics and warehouse coordination
- Continuous improvement / Lean operations
- Major Retailer supply chain experience
