Dasic is a well established, specialist engineering company (ISO accredited) with an International and UK customer base . We are a small friendly team, designing and manufacturing high performance tank cleaning machines and gas freeing fans for both marine and industrial sectors. We work closely with customers to solve cleaning and process challenges through practical, engineered solutions that improve cleaning efficiency, while reducing water, chemical, and energy usage / costs.

The Role: This is a varied role combining technical sales, engineering support and customer relationship management. Working along side the Sales and Business Development Manager, you will help develop new and existing business across all sectors, while also supporting the operations department with product drawings and customer specific designs.
The role would suit someone who enjoys working directly with customers and wants to develop a career in technical sales while remaining hands on with engineering.
Key Responsibilites:
Technical Sales
- Understand customer applications and recommend suitable products and solutions
- Prepare technical quotations and proposals
- Develop customer relationships including client visits and attending events in UK and Internationally
- Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations
- Maintain accurate CRM and sales activity records.
Engineering Support
- Produce and amend Solid Works drawings
- Create customer installation drawings and layouts
- Produce manufacturing drawings, bills of materials as required
- Assist with product development and continuous improvement
- Maintain drawing records and technical documentation
Project Support
- Liaise with Customers from enquiry through to installation
- Support factory acceptance testing (as needed) and working closely with production to ensure customer requirements are met
- Assist with commissioning activities and provide after-sales support
Person Specification:
Essential
- A mechanical engineering qualification ..preferably to degree level; HND or qualified by industry/ technical experience
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks
- Good communication skills both with Customers and Colleagues;
- A self starter with excellent organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence and willing to travel in UK and occasionally overseas
Desirable
- Experience of technical sales or application engineering
- Knowledge of pumps, valves, spray nozzles or fluid handling equipment
- Experience within hygienic process industries, waste water treatment, food, beverage, pharmacautical or chemical industries.
- Experience of working to Quality Management standards (ISO; ATEX etc)
- Understanding of manufacturing / costing systems - Sage 200/MMS or similar
- Commercial outlook; Analytical and practical approach to problem solving
