Summary
We are seeking a dedicated General Maintenance Person to join our team at Doddington Lodge in. This role is vital in ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for residents and staff alike. Based in, you will contribute to maintaining the high standards of our community-focused care home working alongside the maintenance manager and registered manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety and comfort of residents.
- Conduct inspections of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
- Supervise external contractors when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Assist with general cleaning and upkeep of the facility.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the team in creating a welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in building maintenance or facilities management.
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
- Ability to read schematics and work with various tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Customer service orientation with a caring attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
